Have you used ChatGPT to create a wedding invitation, favour or sign and now need someone to turn it into a real product?
Wedding Forest can print most AI-generated wedding designs directly onto natural wood. This includes designs created using ChatGPT, Canva and other AI image tools.
Simply email us your design before ordering and we can let you know whether it will work.
You do not need to send us professional artwork or use any specific file format—simply download or save the image you generated and email it to us. In most cases, we can resize it, remove an unwanted background, adjust colours or add details such as your names and wedding date before preparing it for print.
Already have a design? Email it to hello@weddingforest.com.au and we’ll let you know whether it will work before you order.
Can ChatGPT create a wedding invitation design?
Yes. ChatGPT can help you create a wedding design based on almost any theme, colour scheme or personal idea you can describe.
You could ask it to create:
-
A floral wedding invitation featuring your favourite flowers
-
A rustic invitation with native Australian foliage
-
A wedding favour coaster featuring a meaningful place
-
A welcome sign matching your wedding colours
-
Unique table names based on meaningful places you've been
Once you have a design you are happy with, you can send the image to Wedding Forest and we can prepare it for printing onto wood.
ChatGPT appears to be the most popular tool among our customers, followed closely by Canva. Artwork created using tools such as Gemini, Midjourney or Adobe Firefly are also suitable. The particular AI tool is not especially important—the main thing is that you like the design.
What wedding products can your AI design be printed on?
We can adapt your ChatGPT or AI-generated wedding artwork for a wide range of our wooden products, including:
-
Wood slice save the dates
-
Wood slice wedding invitations
-
Wedding favour coasters
-
Place card coasters with individual guest names
-
Table numbers
-
Custom table signs
-
Welcome signs
-
Seating charts
-
Wooden guest book alternatives
-
Other wedding signage
We can create custom wedding signs in shapes and sizes that fit within a maximum area of approximately 60 cm by 90 cm.
This means you can use one design style across several parts of your wedding. For example, the floral artwork from your invitations could also be adapted for your favour coasters, table numbers and welcome sign, creating a consistent look throughout the day.
How does the process work?
The process is straightforward.
1. Create your design
Use ChatGPT, Canva or another AI tool to develop an image that reflects your wedding style.
You can continue asking the AI to make changes until you are happy with the layout, colours, flowers, illustrations and overall feeling of the design.
2. Email the image to us
Send the design to hello@weddingforest.com.au.
You are welcome to do this before placing an order. We will look at the image and let you know whether it is suitable for printing onto wood.
3. We prepare the artwork for printing
After you place your order, we will resize the design to suit your chosen product and make any straightforward adjustments that are needed.
This might include:
-
Removing a wood slice or mock-up background
-
Cropping the artwork
-
Resizing the design
-
Adjusting colours
-
Adding names, dates or wording
-
Adapting the same design to different products
We will then prepare a design proof for you to review before printing begins.
Does the AI design need to be print-ready?
Not at all.
Most of our customers send us the image exactly as it was produced by ChatGPT - usually mocked up on a photograph of a wood slice with background and all.
That is not a problem. We can separate the printable parts of the design without the mock-up background.
The original downloaded image is preferable to a small screenshot because it normally contains more detail. However, you do not need to understand professional file types, image resolution, bleed areas or printing terminology before contacting us.
Send us what you have and we can assess it.
What types of AI designs print well on wood?
Most illustration-based wedding designs translate very well onto wood, including:
-
Floral arrangements
-
Native flowers and foliage
-
Watercolour-style artwork
-
Line drawings
-
Landscapes
-
Buildings and meaningful locations
-
Animals
-
Decorative borders
-
Monograms
-
Fine lettering
-
Full-colour illustrations
Very fine text can generally be printed clearly. White areas and pale backgrounds can also be printed, rather than simply disappearing into the timber.
Gold, silver and metallic-looking effects can look attractive as part of the printed artwork, although they will be printed colours rather than actual metallic foil.
Photorealistic images can also work, particularly when the main subject is cropped neatly. A square photograph with a large background may technically print correctly but can look out of place on an organically shaped wood slice. We can advise you if we think a different crop or layout would produce a better result.
Because every wood slice has its own grain, colour, shape and bark edge, there will be small natural differences between pieces. This is part of what makes wooden wedding stationery and favours unique.
Make your design genuinely personal
One of the best things about using ChatGPT to create wedding stationery is the ability to include details that would be difficult to find in an existing template.
Your design could feature:
-
Flowers from your first date
-
The landscape where you became engaged
-
Your pets
-
A favourite hiking trail or map
-
Buildings from your hometowns
-
Native plants from the birth countries of the couple
-
Small symbols representing shared interests
-
Hidden details that only close friends and family will recognise
We recently created a series of wooden table signs using AI-generated illustrations of locations that were important to the couple. The places were spread across Australia and the United States, with each table featuring a different meaningful location.
Another couple included several tiny personal references within their design. Most guests would simply see a beautiful decorative illustration, while people who knew the couple well could recognise the hidden details.
AI makes this level of personalisation much easier to explore without requiring you to commission an entirely hand-drawn design from the beginning.
A ChatGPT prompt you can copy
First, visit Wedding Forest and find the invitation, save the date, wedding favour coaster or sign you would like to personalise.
Save or screenshot one of the product photos and upload it to ChatGPT along with this prompt:
Use the attached Wedding Forest product photo as the base for my design.
Keep the original wood slice, bark edge, shape, grain, size, lighting, angle and background unchanged. Replace only the design printed on the wood.
Use the existing printed design only to understand the placement and printable area. Do not copy or reproduce the existing artwork.
I would like a [rustic / elegant / modern / botanical / whimsical] wedding design featuring [describe your flowers, colours, locations, animals or other meaningful details].
Include the names “[NAME] and [NAME]”, the wedding date “[DATE]” and the wording “[INSERT WORDING]”.
Keep all text and important design elements comfortably within the wood slice. Make the lettering clear and easy to read, and make the finished result look like the design has been professionally printed directly onto the timber.
Do not change the physical product or turn it into a different type of wood slice.
You can continue asking ChatGPT for changes until the design looks right. For example:
-
Make the flowers smaller.
-
Use warmer colours.
-
Make the names more prominent.
-
Add a subtle image of our dog.
-
Add small hidden symbols that are meaningful to us.
-
Leave more space around the bark edge.
Once you are happy, email the image to Wedding Forest. It does not need to be a professionally prepared print file—we can normally separate the design from the wood slice mock-up, resize it and make straightforward adjustments before printing.
If you have mocked up a design without the wood slice background that's fine too - we'll assess that it will look good on a wood slice and let you know.
What if you have an idea but cannot create the finished design?
You do not have to use AI or prepare the design yourself.
Wedding Forest also offers a custom design service for $60. You can send us your inspiration, ideas, colours and preferred style, and we will create a design for you.
This may be a better option when you have several reference images but cannot get ChatGPT to combine them in the way you want, or when you know the feeling you are trying to create but do not yet have a finished layout.
