Wood Slice Centerpieces

Our wood slices are measured from the edge of the bark across the center.  When slightly oval in shape we measure the smallest direction.

Note that bark thickness varies, but in general smaller pieces will have thinner bark.

These wood slices are rustic and unsanded making them great for wedding centerpieces without the added expense of sanding or sealing them.  They are cut flat and level with milling equipment (not a chainsaw) so they will hold whatever you put on them without tipping over.  They have a rough but even surface texture and may have some markings from the saw.

Please note that as these are a natural product, each piece varies in appearance such as number of growth rings, thickness of bark, shape (though they will be mostly round) and other markings.  We do not send any with splits or cracks and dry them to the point that they are in equilibrium with the air in our workshop.   While they are unlikely to split, the larger sizes (25cm+) may split under some circumstances.
